Our Staff

I became the pastor back in 2018 with my wife and our 2 kids as we felt God calling us away from Iowa and here to Immanuel CRC. But who am I? I'm a husband, father, preacher, and smoker of foods. I am a simple person who simply loves Jesus and wants to help others in their own journey. And so, whether it's in serving the church family here at Immanuel, serving our community (around church or our own home), cooking and smoking food, or simply doing life with people - my role is to share Jesus and love others.

I joined the Immanuel family with my husband and four boys in 2005. Serving youth and their families is one of my callings in life. I love hanging out with middle and high schoolers--they are smart and hilarious--and I love to learn with them about God, his Word, and his world. I also enjoy being outside working in the garden or photographing nature, traveling the world, listening to audio books, and making art --creative things that help me notice the beauty around me, and praise God for it.
